Sneaky Sound System

Over the past few years, Australia has slowly and steadily become a big part of my life. I recently took a random accounting of my iTunes collection, and noticed that Australian bands comprised a huge chunk of the most awesome songs. Newbies like So I'm Jo, The BMX Crew, and Hot Chip and veterans like the Avalanches and of course the incomparable Kylie Minogue, are just a few of the amazing sounds coming from down under.

Sneaky Sound System is leading the pack. The trio have been killing the blog-o-sphere with amazing pop tunes that are so much more than pop, but fill you with the simple joy that only a pop song can. The band is Miss Connie (Connie Mitchell), Black Angus (Angus McDonald), and MC Double D (Daimon Downey), all from Sydney.

The group have become the darlings of the world's most amazing Djs and producers, such as Fred Falke, Shazam, and Juan Maclean. This remix of "That's Not My Problem" by the Thin White Duke (aka Stuart Price of Zoot Woman and producer os Madonna's Confession on a Dancefloor) is pure unadulterated sonic bliss.
