I was recently perusing the pages of Waves at Night, and ran across this absolute stunner. Gichy Dan's Beachwood No 9 (whom I've never heard of) remixed by Todd Terje (whom I love and adore). Reminds me of that classic Dr. Buzzard's Original Savannah Band style; disco coupled with swing-era, big band music.
Todd Terje, or Terje Olsen if you're nasty, is a name that I immediately trust. Hailing from Oslo, Norway, Terje is a master remixer of classic 70s and 80s rare grooves and disco. He's been super prolific over the past few years, and has remixed the likes of Chic, Stevie Wonder, the Emotions and many other iconic disco legends.
