So I'm Jo is my awesome obscure discovery of the week. The duo, which include Damon Cameron and Glen Cassidy, hail from Sydney Australia and compose electro pop songs that evoke a plethora of styles, from Level 42 to the Junior Boys to M83. My favorite track so far, Waiting For Time, carries you on a lovely wave of dream synth, with sublime vocals delicately placed atop a pounding bass line.
The two describe their music as "accessible song based tunes ready made for the ballroom or bedroom. Ideas, machines, instruments & error are the foundations of an evolving So I’m Jo sound."
